Cortesso

Get started

Cortesso is one memory that every AI you use shares. Tell it something once, in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok, and the others know it too. Most of it works on the plan you already pay for, with no API key.

1. Sign in

Go to cortesso.com/app and enter your email. A six-digit code arrives; check Junk the first time. Type it in. There is no password and nothing to install for this step.

2. Bring your memory into the AI you already use

Two ways. Both run on the plan you already have with that AI, so they need no API key.

In the Claude or ChatGPT app: the connector (works today)

  1. Get your connector token. In the dashboard, open Connect, pick Claude or ChatGPT, and copy the address and the token. The token is shown once.
  2. Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the address, then the token when it asks to authenticate.
  3. ChatGPT: Settings → Connectors → Advanced → turn on Developer mode. Then Connectors → Create, and paste the address and the token.
  4. Make it automatic. Paste the one-paragraph instruction from the Connect screen into a project's custom instructions. From then on the AI checks your memory before it answers and saves where the work got to, without being asked.

Try it: in a new Claude chat, type catch me up on and the name of a project. It answers from what you did last, even if you did it in ChatGPT.

On the web: Cortesso for Chrome (early access)

A browser extension for chatgpt.com, claude.ai, grok.com and gemini.google.com. It works inside those sites, on your own account with each of them, with no API key and nothing to paste. Being signed in to cortesso.com in the same browser is being signed in to the extension.

  1. You type. A small pill by the message box says, for example, Cortesso · 2 from memory. Click it to read those two lines, cross one off, or turn it off for this message.
  2. You send. The lines go with your message, so the AI knows what you told it before, or what you worked out with a different AI yesterday. When nothing in your memory is relevant, nothing is added, and small talk is never touched.
  3. The answer arrives. The chat is saved to your Cortesso memory as the page shows it, with any pasted passwords or keys removed.
  4. Select any text in a reply and choose Remember in Cortesso. One click, one fact, every AI.

It is not in the Chrome Web Store yet. For early access, email hello@cortesso.com. When a site changes its page, the pill turns red and says so, and nothing is sent until it is fixed.

3. Tell it three things

In the dashboard, open Memory and add three things you keep re-explaining: how you like answers, who someone is, what you decided. Or drop your ChatGPT or Claude data export and your past conversations become memory; pasted keys and passwords are removed on the way in. Then ask any connected AI something only you would know.

Later: your own key for the power features

New API keys are paused during early access, while key storage is being hardened. Everything above works without one. When keys open again, this is how they work.

Some things run inside Cortesso itself, on your behalf: positions (an AI CFO, designer or ops lead that works from your memory), side-by-side answers from several AIs in Chat, the Roundtable, and the Monday brief. Those need an API key from the AI company, added once under Settings → Engine keys. One key from the company you already use is enough to start.
